EDISON CHAIR

More coming soon!

Band is in the studio

Edison Chair, the power-pop trio from Dripping Springs, TX, started playing & writing together in 2007 when they were just 15.  With spot-on harmonies and hook-laden songwriting that belies their youth, Edison Chair finds itself poised to step onto the national stage.  Edison Chair is Nathan Thrash (guitar, vocals), Martin Aker (bass, vocals), & Wes Armstrong (drums, vocals) and can best be described as The Ramones meets The Everlys through a Mersey-beat filter on a hot Texas night.

At Dripping Springs & Jim Bowie High Schools respectively, they are entering their Senior year as Honor Students.  They have the classic appeal where the girls want ‘em & the guys want to hang out with ‘em.  Edison Chair’s radio-ready music, combined with their charisma and movie star good looks, leaves no doubt that these boys are ready.

The Band recently signed a production deal with multi-platinum songwriter Monte Warden (Kelly Willis, Patty Loveless, George Jones, Bruce Robison, Travis Tritt, and George Strait,) to work with two of LA's finest major label AR producers, Bruce Brody (Rickie Lee Jones, Lone Justice, Pulp Fiction Soundtrack, Maria McKee) and Jose Alcantar (Blue October), on the Band’s first record. With major label interest already having the lads showcasing for the industry’s top brass, Edison Chair is set to define the sound of 2010.

Each show brings another fan, newspaper story, AR scout to the table. We are glad you are a part of the story!

QUOTES
" I was really taken with Edison Chair. It was my first time seeing them and I thought they had a lot of great qualities. Not only were they on point with vocals, stage banter, and song quality, but they also made sure to walk around getting emails for their mailing list and made sure to introduce themselves to a lot of people. I think they've got a unique thing going." Harmonie Kelley (bass player with Bob Schneider, Bruce Hughes, Jon Dee Graham, James McMurtry)

"Edison Chair, a trio from Dripping Springs, is a most likely candidate for jumping straight into the 21+ crowd. Their wonderfully exuberant indie-mod-pop sound is anchored by strong vocals and memorable originals that sound radio-ready. Sound like hype? RajiWorld already plucked them for their stable of talent." Margaret Moser (Austin Chronicle)
