NATIONAL ARTIST - REGULAR BAND + NEW ARRANGEMENTS +
STRINGS ATTACHED = HEAVEN
". . . his inspired creativity and often amazing use
of the violin make this album transcend the experimental
to become art." - Austin Chronicle
"The first time I heard an arrangement of one of my
songs by Will Taylor, it was an a cappella lullaby I had
written for my daughter. Will brought a depth and lushness
to my song that had me in tears, and I find that this
is what I love about working with him. You hand Will an
idea, and it becomes a grand symphonic piece that must
be born of dreams, hard work, understanding and, perhaps,
genius."
- Sara Hickman
As early as 1997, Will Taylor, Ian Moore, and Sara Hickman
thought it would be fun to try out a new idea. What happens
if you let Taylor rearrange your known material, pull
the venue out of the traditional club scene, and appear
as a guest artist in collaboration with Taylor's crew
of seasoned jazz and contemporary roots musicians? So
for this one show, you completely ditch your traditional
back-up band, and you perform in a church sanctuary or
some other concert-like setting with naturally good reverb.
What happened was a brilliant discovery; the shows were
not only fun, but the altered vision of the music was
pure magic. Audiences were mesmerized. Artists were inspired.
Everyone wanted more.
